"Anna (Shall I compare thee)" is a digital mixed media print, created on my computer in 2003. It won an honourable mention in the 'established artists' category, in the Kingston Arts Council Juried Show, 2003. I painted the backdrop for Ruddigore for a KCVI student production, while teaching English there in 1983. All the other works depicted on this page are oil paintings or pencil drawings created before 1986. "Skier" was done with coloured pencils. These reproductions were scanned from slides I took in the 80s; I don't own the works anymore. Most of them were sold through Kaspar Gallery, which is still located in the Yorkville gallery district in Toronto.- "Woman and Cup" was reproduced in Canadian Art in a full page ad announcing my fall 1984 solo show at Kaspar Gallery.
- In 1980, my pencil portrait of my late friend, the poet Tom Marshall, appeared on the cover of his collection The Elements (Oberon Press). You can see the book cover here on Tom's page on David Helwig's website.
- In 1979, A Child Growing Up, by David Kemp (Simon and Pierre) was published with my illustrations.
- In 1976, one of my drawings appeared on the cover of the four issues of the poetry magazine, Quarry.
- During the 70s and 80s my drawings and paintings were seen in numerous group exhibitions, both juried and invitational, in Kingston, Toronto, and St. Catharine's.
